Okay, so before I start, I have to put it out there, that I think we are our own best teachers. The more initiative we take to teach ourselves, the more we learn and the wiser we become. It is Wisdom we need now, it's all well and good to be an intellect, but being wise, being more insightful, is what will help us to really thrive.
Everyone else can guide us and/or show us, but the real learning comes when we find our own way. We can take in the information, that has been presented to us, then make the time to fully process it and figure out, how we can best utilise it, in our own lives.
At the end of the day, we all learn differently, so the way we look at teaching should be different too.
Instead of looking to others to teach us, maybe we should be remembering how we can teach ourselves. Trusting our own gut instinct, when we wish to make decisions. So that we end up, taking the right direction in life.
I can certainly learn from others. There are many people that I admire and whom I trust to educate me further, on the things in life that really interest and inspire me. I have quite a few books from some of them, books that have made me a lot more aware about the world around me and my relationship within it.
Learning is so important, we are born with an innate desire to learn. We are like, little sponges, soaking up everything that surrounds us. Hungry to understand and create a life for ourselves.
Something we should never lose, but unfortunately we have. Losing our way, as we are placed within a system that wishes to keep us in line and train us to be good employees. So that we can be of service, to those in power.
But how about, being of service to the earth. Because when we choose that, then we are being of service to ourselves. Where is the education, about giving back inside of always taking!
Our very existence, depends on the earth being healthy and yet very few of us seem to really understand that. Perhaps, because our connection, has become dormant. Buried beneath a materialistic world, that has sprung up around so many of us.
I really think, we need to be very careful about who we let teach us and guide us. Because right now, we need to be able to think for ourselves and not just repeat what others have said to us.
This is my response to the latest Ladies Of Hive Community Contest. Which asked the following question.......
What’s something you could teach me about?
When I read it, I knew I really wanted to answer it, but it took me a long time to decide how I would, because as I already stated, I am not really a big fan, of calling myself a teacher.
Then I read the latest post by , which really resonated with me and inspired me to write this response. So it's not really about me teaching anything, but rather planting a seed and allowing you to make your own choices in life, ones that I hope come from your gut.
