It is another beautiful day to be here and am here today to share with you some of the things you have to do to keep your poultry farm business going smoothly especially the broiler birds which happens to be the one am doing.
Raising of broiler birds is not for the weak ones I must say just like any other business if you want to stand a chance of achieving success then you to make sure to work out things by following some measures or daily routine to keep the business running smoothly.
My first time experience regarding starting my poultry farm business or raising broiler birds was a success, even though I later incurred some challenges during the marketing stage which cost me some parts of my profit. But despite all these, I have to say that it's a success. Despite the fact that I have little or basic knowledge about raising broiler birds and that's what makes me scape through different challenges regarding the business as I have to make sure to stick with my daily routine with the birds to prevent or countermeasures any diseases outbreak since the best way to have a wonderful outcome in poultry farm business or raising broiler birds to stand a chance of obtaining a good profits is by doing everything possible to keep the birds pen clean and conducive which will make the birds to stay healthy and prevent or reduced mortality rate.
After am done with my first batch of broiler birds which means I have already empty my pen after selling everything out since I am taking this as my offline business to help me financially.
So since the my birds pen is now empty, keeping the business going is my priority and I have already started taking some steps to bring in new day old broiler birds. But before I bring them in, below 👇 are some of the steps I have to follow to keep my poultry farm business running smoothly.
One thing about poultry farm business is that you can't totally avoid diseases in birds but you can actually keep preventing it by following your daily routine that best work for you. So in lieu of this, there are some remnant of diseases left in the birds pen from the old broiler birds and these diseases are usually in form of bacteria and virus and some of these diseases can exist within the pen for almost a year before they disappear. Getting rid of such diseases must be the first thing you have to do before bringing in new birds and the best way to do that is by fumigating your birds pen with disinfectant of your choice to make sure you get rid of left over harmful diseases within the environment.
Though the kind of the disinfectant you used depends on your choice like I said earlier and also about the cost as well, but the disinfectant spray that I used to fumigate my pen is formalin which is not that expensive as I just have to buy it in liters and mix some little quantity with water while making use of the watering can to fumigate every part of my pen.
But, one of the important thing you have to do is to make sure everywhere is covered after the fumigation might have taken place. Since the disinfectant are some kind of toxic chemicals, then it is very important to cover up every part of your pen or the place you want to used for brooding so that the chemical won't escape in to the air and you can leave the area covered for maximum of seven days to make sure the disinfectant get rid of all harmful organisms diseases within the environment.
Then the next thing to do after the completion of the fumigation is to open the covered area to allow fresh air in to the pen and this will let the remaining chemical escape in to the air. By that time, the next thing to do is washing the surface of the pen and all the required equipment needed for brooding to make sure that the new birds you're bringing in don't incurred diseases and this will prevent high mortality rate and boost productivity.
Keeping diseases away from the poultry farm is not an easy task but it is what you must do if you want your business to be going smoothly or have a great results and high profit at the end of the day and that's why you must stick to the routine which keep your business going well.
