I took this photo a couple years back. It was a beautiful sunny winter morning, I was still living right next to the Lama Temple in Beijing, I could see the temple just from my stairwell. The Lama Temple is a Tibetan Buddhism temple built in Qing Dynasty, which explains why it looks very different from other tradition Chinese Buddhism temples.
A good day makes a good photo. It had just snowed, the air was still pretty cold, but the sun was out, there was barely any clouds, and bare any people. There was still some snow on the roofs, but if you ignore the coldness and the snow, you might almost think it's a bright and hot summer day. This kinda weather is very rare in a Beijing winter, which makes this photo even more precious.
