Wow! A bunch of different stakeholders have come together to provide high-speed internet to income-subsidized housing. People are even offered computer education classes where they get a computer for FREE upon completion! This is awesome, giving low-income people access to fast internet and teaching them how to use computers is a perfect precursor to joining steemit, which is a great way for them to earn money.
Low-income people often have the most interesting experiences to share and could really demonstrate the value of the steemit platform when they come on here and make lots of money. This would encourage more organizations to work to get low-income people access to high-speed internet when they see it's all people need to start making money and becoming self-sufficient.
I'll be following this initiative and hope, for example, that the $1 billion dollar effort Los Angeles just passed to end homelessness will include plans to get high-speed internet to the formerly homeless so they can start blogging about their stories and become rich!
