We had a little bit of late Winter weather with the day cold, rainy (with frequent little snow flurries) and a frigid wind that chilled you tomorrow the bone - a miserable day to be outdoors.
We had a steady cold rain overnight that continued into the morning so my morning walk with Lulu was a mess. Lulu doesn't mind the wet and cold days (a bit surprising since she was from coastal Texas), so we trudged through the drizzle for a very damp 2 miles. Needless to say, I was glad to get back home to some nice hot coffee ☕️.
My volunteer shift was inthe afternoon so I headed out on the recreational path and bike trails with the occasional drizzle motivating me to move along.
My pace was decent considering the conditions and my legs felt good after the first half mile or so. With the nasty weather the path and trails were empty although I did cross paths with a pair of round deer on the trail. After staring at each other for a bit they trotted along and I continued past and finished up with 4 miles.
