Some welcome rain storms brought much needed moisture to much of Arizona and this snail - Brown Garden Snail (Helix aspera) - was out roaming while the ground was still moist.
Crawling across an open road isn't the best place - predators, cars and the hot sun - so after a couple of photographs I put the little critter off into the wet (and much safer) grass meadow nearby.
