We moved hotels to the Serena hotel in tulum, which is right on the central strip next to loads of bars and cafés and right next to the beach. The previous hotel although nice was pretty far from anywhere and you had to get cabs to do anything, which are pretty expensive around here. The Serena hotel is so cool, the accommodation is In these super cute little tents that actually come with the electricity and hard floors and a mini fridge! Despite being probably the cheapest hotel on the whole strip, I actually think it’s the best. But I will share more about this hotel in a bit but while we were waiting to check-in we went to grab a drink in the Mina hotel. I think it’s actually best to be a visitor in this hotel since you get to enjoy and appreciate all the luxuries of it without having to pay to stay, The cost of which is around £300 per night! We did have to stick in the roped off area for the peasants, rather than be allowed on the other seats but you could still wander around the beach and basically get the full experience I just had to choose between 4 sun loungers rather than the rest. I would really recommend going there for food or a drink more than actually staying there as the hotel rooms didn’t look any better than ours.
I think this is the nicest cocktail I’ve had yet and I know everyone does guacamole but these guys took it to the next level.
