CAC DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE 📚
(THE LIVING WATER)
DATE: Monday, 19th February, 2018.
TOPIC: A HELPLESS SITUATION
📖 READ: Matthew 27:27-44
MEMORISE:
And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit."' Having said this, He breathes His last. (Luke. 23:46)
EXPOSITION:
A helpless situation is a situation in which one is unable to defend oneself, or a situation whereby one acts without help. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to the world to perfect the work of our salvation, and that must be done through His death on the Cross. He had done all that He needed to do and was led to Golgotha, where He would pay the ultimate price. He was in a situation that seemed helpless while He was hanged on the Cross. So many people pitied Him, while others were mocking, but God the Father was watching, and at the appointed time, He raised Him (Acts. 13:30). Hallelujah!
What is that helpless situation you are passing through? What is that condition that has made you hopeless? God will surely surface and intervene, at the appropriate time, and you will laugh, in Jesus' name.
When you find yourself in situations that are unpalatable, you look up and it seems heaven is closed against you, keep your faith alive in Christ, silence is not abandonment. The Almighty God will surface to turn the table around in your favour. Just act like Jesus Christ, in Hebrew 5:7 Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear.
God is always on time. The intervention of God through Jesus Christ will bring peace and serenity (Gen. 26:24; Isa. 26:3).
PRAYER POINTS:
Lord, I look up to You for help; please, send help to my weary soul.
Father, show up in my helpless and hopeless situation, and do what only You can do to turn my situation around, in Jesus' name.
Lord, restore hope to our missionaries, and let Your promises concerning Your Church be fulfilled, promptly, in Jesus' name.
