I had actually mentioned this to you in my end-of-season report card as well. Last season, I played the highest number of battles I ever have; however, my win rate dropped by about 2–3% because, early on, I got stuck in a prolonged losing streak. Nevertheless, by the time the season ended, I had somehow managed to earn enough Glint to purchase two Legendary Draws simultaneously. Each Legendary Draw costs a total of 70,000 Glint, meaning I needed a total of 140,000 Glint for two draws; since I finished the season with approximately 150,000 Glint, I actually had a surplus of around 10,000 Glint. There is no specific reason to purchase a Legendary Draw, other than the fact that—compared to cards of other rarities—Legendary cards are the most difficult to obtain as rewards. Therefore, when it comes to making a purchase, I tend to focus specifically on the Legendary Draw.
In these draws, there is normally only a 1% chance of obtaining a Gold Foil card; however, by using an Alchemy Potion, even that 1% chance can be doubled. Although the likelihood of pulling a Gold Foil card remains low even then, it is still worth trying your luck here. This is because if you somehow manage to extract a Gold Foil card, it could prove to be extremely valuable. And even if you don't get a Gold Foil card, the card you do receive—being of Legendary rarity—will possess powerful stats, thereby enhancing your in-game performance and allowing you to enjoy the game significantly more. Therefore, I personally use Alchemy Potions every single time, as I feel that regardless of the outcome, I come out a winner either way.✌️
And so, even after opening two Legendary draws simultaneously this time around, I didn't manage to pull a Gold Foil card; however, what I did receive is still a clear sign of good fortune—and here’s why. First, let's talk about Azhar Ibn Sulaim, a Fire Element card. This is a ranged attacker whose most remarkable attribute is undoubtedly its Speed, though its Health and Armor stats are quite respectable as well. Thanks to its "Taunt" ability, you can position this card towards the back of your lineup to execute powerful attack strategies alongside your heavy hitters. Furthermore, its exceptional Speed ensures that even if it gets knocked out, it will almost certainly manage to inflict some damage upon the enemy before going down. I had actually obtained this card previously during my very first Legendary draw—meaning I already possessed one copy—so now I have a total of two copies. This brings me just one copy away from upgrading this card to Level 2, an upgrade that would grant it the "Backfire" ability, along with an additional +1 Health and +3 Speed.🔥
The second card belongs to the Water element, and its greatest asset is its exceptionally low Mana cost. Consider this: for a mere 2 Mana, this card grants you a basic ranged attack power combined with a Speed of 3—a stat that is certainly above average. Furthermore, its 4 Health and 3 Armor provide solid protection against enemy attacks. Above all, this card possesses a "Close Range" ability, which gives you the freedom to position it anywhere you desire within your lineup. Typically, ranged attack cards cannot launch attacks from the frontline; however, thanks to the Close Range ability, these ranged attackers can perform attacks even while stationed at the very front, thereby offering you significantly greater strategic flexibility. This is currently my first copy of this card, but I am hopeful that I will be able to upgrade all my Legendary cards to their maximum level before the release of any new card sets in the future.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
