I have been focusing once again here recently on healing emotionally and in balancing my aspects after quite a long period of working for money and ignoring this important side of my life. I thought to share here something about memory, since most of us have memory issues of one kind or another...
Our memories are very closely tied in to our feelings. Often we will not be triggered to remember our past until we encounter the same feelings as we experienced previously and in that moment it is possible to tune in to a variety of memory that ordinarily remains hidden from our conscious mind. Feelings are our pathway to the unconscious self and to remembering what we have forgotten.
One of the main reasons why we lose our memory is that we are blocking out our real feelings and thus our connection to our own past is shut down. While it might make sense from a certain perspective to try to not feel some of what we are really feeling, the reality is that we can't do this without also losing functions that we really need to keep active, such as memory recall.
As we attempt to increase our ‘good feelings’ and sense of well-being, we might decide to try to forget our problems and maybe our pain too, but does this cannot actually help.
There is no reward in forgetting anything at all
The good feeling and buzz/boost we feel when in a natural balance where nothing is being denied is one that comes hand in hand with truly manifesting our own real desires/needs. Attempting to block out or forget the parts of self and life that we do not like is not an effective way at maintaining or creating balance. Holistic balance is the only real balance and that means that all parts of self must be present and allowed to clear and be at peace.
Total balance and good feelings cannot be reached by trying to simply forget that you have not yet reached them yet!
Instead, we need to accept all of our feelings with the light of loving consciousness - by accepting them exactly as they/we are i the present moment, space is left open for them to feel good and to evolve into new feelings. Another way to look at this is that you only have so much emotional essence and it needs to vibrate to stay alive and feel good. If you reject it or simply try to focus elsewhere, you will eventually run out of vibrating essence and serious problems will follow - up to and including death. Rather than denying emotional essence, the alternative is to fully accept emotional essence and gradually speed up the vibrational power of the emotional body such that all of your faculties 'come online' again, including your memories.
Once you are healing, balancing and evolving - painful memories of the past can be more easily integrated, accepted and processed - leading to an ever increasing spiral of wellbeing, integration and improved clarity, understanding and success!
