Having low upvotes is not a nightmare and it's not something new to us all but don't let that discourage you. You might have been going through trending posts and the upvotes you saw there are just so high which motivates you to write a very meaningful and quality content but at the end of the day you end up just like the girl in the opening picture Sad.
Most people who are very successful in steemit were once like you and me. What helped them to succeed? They did not just stay back and be discourage but they continued to do something which enabled them to get to were they are and that is what we are going to talk about.
Below are practical steps to take in other to conquer this challenge.
1)POST QUALITY CONTENTS: The first rule in posting an article is that the content must be of very good quality. Now when I talk of quality content i mean posting of original content. Contents that you post must not be copied from someone else and this can be referred to as plagiarism which is frowned upon in this community. source
Now you may be wondering" I do post original content of high quality but i still don't get upvoted, what's wrong? " I think the next suggestion will answer that question.
2)PUT THE SOURCE OF YOUR PICTURES:Going to a website to download a picture and end up uploading it here along your content can also be seen as plagiarism without putting the source or where the picture or photograph was gotten from. When people see that your post does not include the source of your photograph they may not want to upvote you because it may seem as if you are trying to claim ownership of a picture that is not yours. Now one question comes to mind which is "how can I put the source of pictures which are not mine?" it's very simple but I prefer you to use pixabay.com to collect pictures because it is more easier to put your source after the photograph.what is the code to put source in a picture it's simple just follow this procedure:< a herf = " paste the link of the picture which you copied then write " > then source < /a > that's all. When people see you "source" your work, it may make them want to appreciate your work by upvoting you. If you have done this and you still get low upvotes maybe the next point may be useful.
3)JOIN GROUPS ON DISCORD:Now this is were discernment really comes in. I know there are various groups on discord which claims to upvote your post and things like that but at the ending after you have successfully joined, you find out that it was all lies. I can only recommend one group which I know and I'm I'm sure will upvote your post and that is https://SteemChat.com I'm a moderator in this group and I know what I'm saying. This group has two bots the automation bot and the broadcast bot. The broadcast bot is a free bot which upvotes all your post without you sending any SBD isn't that cool?. The automation bot is a bot that gives you 100% voting on your posts. You can read more about these bots on https://SteemChat.com. The creator of this group is @Yehey(witness) you can support him by voting him as witness. Now if you have done all this and you are not getting the required upvote you wish to get having carry out the three steps what next should you do? I think the next step will have an answer to that question.
4)DON'T GET DISCOURAGED :It's so discouraging seeing that your posts is always having low upvotes even though it's quality content is so good. This should not be a time to give up, just keep in mind that most successful people on steemit were once like you but what helped them to continue?

They were persevering and did not let the low upvotes to discourage them. Continue writing posts and sharing them. See posting like something to do for fun. Just bear in mind that it's going to be better one day. Commenting on others post and following others is also very important because it gets you noticed by others who will want to visit your page and upvote you. Remember never get discouraged just keep on the good work. Now the last and final step to take is consider in the last paragraph.
4)APPRECIATE OTHERS WORK:Appreciating others work is something everyone on steemit should cultivate. Steemit will be a very successful place if the number of people viewing your post also upvote your post.most people check others post and benefit a lot from it and end up not upvoting it which is not good. Just imagine the author seeing the total numbers of views is very high but the upvotes low not even up to one quarter 🌓 of the people who came to visit your post, how do yo think the author will feel? No doubt sad. Appreciate others work no matter the reputation they are, am upvote won't make take anything from you. source
We all want upvotes but we are not ready to upvote others and that is not good at all. I set up a practice in that I upvote anyone who upvotes my post. Take note this does not mean upvote for upvote it simply means i take notice of everyone who upvotes me and this move me to upvote them in other to tell them I appreciate their work and time they use to read my post. If we all cultivate an appreciative attitude steemit will become a better place for me and you and we will be able to conquer the challenges of low upvotes.
