Our next adventure destination for this outdoor journey is the Grandiose Falls of Jasaan dubbed as Sagpulon Falls.
Tidbits Insights of Sagpulon Falls
It is one of the known watershed of Mount Ragong of Claveria - Lagonglong - Bukidnon Mountain ranges.
It is the water source of two major Municipalities of Jasaan and Tagaloan. It is the local summer getaway escapade to cool down in summer time.
One of the best features of the Sagpulon Falls is its rock formation and huge swimming lagoon with a depth of 16-18 feet deep depending if rainy season of dry season.
Please be informed that Sagpulon Falls is open to the public during dry season and its closed during rainy season as the water current is strong and it cascading big boulders and trees coming from the deep forest of the Mount Ragong.
As mentioned earlier Sagpulon Falls is open to the public it attracts numerous locals who wish to have a slice of its beauty and refreshing cold water.
Sagpulon Falls is also known to many outdoor photographers and outdoor goers because of its picturesque views and scene.
And the best time to enjoy its prestige views with less crowds is during the first hour of its opening particularly during weekdays.
With that being said, we will be heading to Sagpulon Falls earlier than anyone.
We are all coming from the Cagayan de Oro City, the gateway of Northern Mindanao and the White water rafting capital of the Philippines. And we will be heading to Jasaan which is a one hour jeepney ride (public transportation in the Philippines).
After we arrived at the main road heading to the Sagpulon Falls. We will be taking a single motorcycle ride to reach the main entrance of the Sagpulon Falls. It will take us around 20-30 minutes to reach the main gate.
As soon as we reach the main gate we need to register ourselves and pay as low as 20 pesos (Philippine currency) or 0.97 USD$.
Once your done with the registration you will hike around 10 minutes to reach the Sagpulon Falls.
To give you a better view of Sagpulon Falls and its swimming lagoon. Along with its beautiful rock formation under the falls it self.
Please be aware that during summer time particularly during drought or (El Nino) the water cascading the falls is minimal compare to its normal cascading power.
I hope you enjoyed the view as much as I do. Hope this post give you a glimpse of Sagpulon Falls.
