Wieso #24 eigentlich?
Dire Straits for Rock Classics #24
Hi music lovers on Steemit - here comes edition 24 of my Rock Classics with one of the top bands in the 1980ies from the UK. Their relaxed guitar sounds is what I still listen to when I want to calm down a bit. Their album Brothers in Arms was - not only for me - one of the rock history highlights of all times. It was not only sold over 30 million times it was the first music album recorded entirely digitally. This was because Mark was pushing for improved sound quality. Other top stars like Sting also hat there appearance on this masterpiece of music.
About the band
Dire Straits was formed in 1977 my Mark Knopfler, his brother David as well as John Illsley and Pick Withers. Together they became one of the top acts commercially - their first chart breaker was Sultans of Swing in 1978:
They sold over 100 million records during their existence. They split in 1987 - reunited and repeated the scenario as many Rock bands do these days. Mark Knopfler and his guitar skills are outstanding, even maybe Steemians like are more qualified to judge that. His guitar skills probably more convincing compared to his voice.
