The disciples of Jesus are those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is what it takes to be a disciple. There are so many people in the church today. Christianity has become one of the types of religion. Many people are recognized with the church just because they are the affiliates of christian religion. Being a disciple is s more than that. Disciples are those who obey everything that the Lord Jesus Christ teaches. If someone says that He is a follower of Jesus Christ, let Him obey the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The teachings of Jesus Christ is given in the doctrines which the Lord gave to the church. We are not following the ten commandments of Moses anymore. Though we are not going in opposite directions to those laws, we obey them according to the doctrines of Jesus Christ. So, following the commandments of God and doing exactly what the Bible teaches us in the New Testament is what will make us the true disciples of Jesus Christ.
We are considering true disciples in this teaching. That means that some people can be followers of Jesus Christ who are not His true disciples. Therefore let each of us truly obey all the teachings of Jesus Christ.
