Hello friends:) In my today's photo walk I will show you a very interesting place.
In 2015, a new wastewater treatment plant was built and officially opened in my town of Lukovit. The project has been successfully implemented through funding under the European Operational Program "Environment 2007-2013.
For 3 years now, one of my best friends Tony has been work as an operator and technical support at the station.Although access for outsiders there is limited, today with the kind assistance of Tony, I will visit the treatment plant and take some pictures. My goal is to show you in detail this unique facility.I guess most of you haven't seen or can't see anything like this, and I hope you find it interesting.
So after a preliminary appointment with Tony today around 14:00 I arrive at the site.
The treatment plant is a complex consisting of several separate units, each of which performs a strictly defined function.
For security reasons, Tony accompanies me on a tour of the site. During my tour at the area, he gives me an instructions on my safety, then leaves me to take pictures in peace.
The place is really very interesting and impressive!See the material I managed to shoot and you will see for yourself.
Tony tells me in detail about the principle of operation of a treatment plant. Here at the station in the various blocks is performed mechanical treatment , followed by biological treatment, additional treatment and disinfection of the wastewater.
Tony doesn't want me to take a picture of him, but I still managed to capture some pictures with him without him knowing.
I'm almost at the end of my photo tour
The town of Lukovit where I live is not a big city .However, it is relatively densely populated. There are several large factories, medium-sized enterprises, gas stations, and animal farms. All of them are a potential source of wastewater and environmental pollutants. That is why the treatment plant in the town of Lukovit is a site of strategic importance for the protection of nature, natural resources and human health.
Thanks to my friend Tony for the kind welcome and the opportunity to take pictures!
This puts an end to my post.I wish you all a good night and stay healthy!
