So here I am... currently rocking a sweet reputation level of 56, rocking well over 450 followers, never posting spam or easy meaningless one photo posts with no text just to collect automatic upvotes... but always putting in some work to post something meaningful and I often see those spammy posts get more views than my posts...
“If I write a post and it doesn’t get read... does it even exist?” Officially it does exist, it’s offcially in the blockchain and it cannot be erased after it was posted. But if it didn’t get read, it didn’t have a meaning and if it didn’t have a meaning you could argue it didn’t exist. I fear that having posts submitted to the blockchain with at least a decent amount of work put in, getting only very few views is something a lot of us non-whales have to deal with.
I’ve looked at my last 10 posts and here are the views for each of them:

Most of my posts have gotten less than 20 views. I got lucky with one post, it got over 60 views but this wasn’t reflected in upvotes at all but at least it got seen/read and that is important to me.
Is it strange to figure that when you have a certain rep level and over 450 followers to expect your posts to get well over 20 views by default? Or is this something that basically everyone is dealing with and should we accept that this is normal Steemit follower behavior? “For some reason I decided to follow but don’t expect me to actually click on your posts”.
I’m curious to find out if these statistics can be seen as normal or not so please do comment if you happened to click on this post and made it this far.
Makes me wonder what my posts would do if I were to be a hot Asian chick posting about food or hotel visits... 🤔
Either way, Steem on everyone! Keep posting the good stuff and let’s all try to keep Steemit as free as possible from clear spam. This was just somewhat of a little late night rant 🤓.
