Lighthouse that is also memorial to one of the heroes of the Dutch-Belgian war; Belgium declared independence and the Dutch did not accept this; a war broke out and Belgium became a separate country. This lighthouse was renamed after van Speijck, a Dutch commander who lost his ship and life in the war.
It is the closest lighthouse to where I grew up and I always loved it. It is good to see it being repaired,too bad the scafolding blocks most of the tower from sight. SOny V3 with IR filter. Holland, 2019.
