Dear readers,
Welcome to our very first edition of the Vegans of Steemit Newsletter! It’s a great pleasure to share this with you all. The goal of this Newsletter is to showcase the most interesting publications from our vegan Steemit & Whaleshares community during the week, and introduce new members worth checking out. We also feature a Q&A section at the end of the newsletter, in which non-vegans can ask anything they need to know about veganism and how to get there. Help us spread the vegan love!

I’m surrounded by people who eat meat here in Panama, and veganism is still in the diaper stage here. Naturally, people are very skeptical about someone not eating meat and one of the new guys at our gym asked me how I get my daily protein.
It’s a classical question which comes back often, so here’s what I told him:
You wouldn’t believe how many plants have a high protein content! I eat plenty of beans, lentils, tofu, mushrooms, oatmeal, quinoa, avocado and nuts as my protein sources. How do I know it works? I’m feeling great and I perform well physically. Just try it!
