'Horses'

Friendship of humans and horses goes a long way back. We are buddies who help each other for thousands of years. We feed them, train them, take care of them and they give us back the pleasure of sitting on their backs and more.

That's how we like to see it. I wonder if horses would tell another story. A story of not being free to run the open pastures and enjoy the wind in a herd. Maybe it is not like that at all. Maybe the horses love being locked up and owned.

Would you like to have a five times smaller creature feeding you, cleaning you and then sitting on your back for hours? :D I doubt it.

I am half joking here. Why not try seeing things from another side? The one we don't like so much. On the flip side, people taking care of horses genuinely love them. When talking to them, I feel the dedication and love they put in their work with horses.

That is definitely to be commended. There is no black and white. All things have their pros and cons. We are to find the balance and enjoy our time. I love riding but sometimes wonder how the horses feel about it.
