Let's see what is interesting about this campsite by the river, I arrived at. The first thing crossing my mind is to check out the riding park. So let's do that first. Oh, take a look at this one... so funny what people ride these days. It's got to be one of those electric soundless devices, people tend to mistake for a bike... :D
Here we have a set of regular camper accessories. I respect bike riders. It takes a lot of effort to push those pedals and it's generally healthy.
These two are leaning to the tree just by the river. The green one is attached to another bike... Yes, the one you cannot really see. Is that a sleeping bag tied in the back of the bike?
Aaand... wooow! This is a custom-made BMW, at least 20 years old but could easily be more. Added sidecar, probably reinforced bottom, flat top car tires... seriously insane setup.
The reservoir bag is usually used for navigation. Riders used to put maps on top of it under a transparent plastic lid. With the rise of GPS devices, paper maps became redundant. Did I ever mention that I still ride without a GPS? Well, I almost ride without maps, too. :) I check the map when I stop for a coffee, only to get a general sense of direction. Sometimes not even that. I love to get lost and find myself in unexpected places. It makes me feel good to ride freely and I believe this it is really why I discover so many new and interesting spots.
I speak to the owner, an older guy who almost lives on wheels. He rides alone and uses the sidekick as storage space. We got quite a few topics to talk about but, alas, his English is not very understandable. However, I was right, the bike is from the eighties. :)
