'Blue Wave'

To me this abstract motif appears to be a strong ocean wave, ready to hit something with all of its power. It may also resemble a mountain range with fertile green pastures underneath. The snowy peaks or wave's crests - you be the judge.

I usually don't work with so many white areas but this image just needed open 'airy' treatment in order to convey the meaning. It is important to adopt the style to the theme and use the best means possible in order to achieve the wanted outcome. One should never be stuck in a single style or form. The idea and the theme are the points of origin. The style and form are only derivatives.

Subdued colours of the cold side of the spectrum, with only a few tiny spots of light red, absolutely work toward the both mentioned possibilities but still leave enough open space for other interpretations and points of view.

Notice the softness produced by the shallow depth of field. The middle is very focused while everything gets less and less sharp, ending in a complete blur. The white areas on top and bottom close the composition and give it an airy feel, as mentioned before.
