Hello all GAMERS! I've been very busy and couldn't get back to the front of the action here at HIVE, but I'm back. Today I'm bringing you a review of some gaming headsets! I don't usually do this type of post, but I think these headsets deserve it! Yeah, yeah! Approximately 7 years ago, I bought these Corsair headsets when I was also buying some other PC components for about $70 at the time. And I can say they were worth EVERY PENNY of the purchase.
Personally, when I buy components for my PC, I usually do a lot of research, read a lot of reviews, and so on. Although this may not be worth much in the end, it's something that has helped me greatly avoid buying rubbish or getting carried away by the first thing I see and buying it. So, taking my time to research has also helped me discover new things, and some have completely surprised me, like these headphones.
Well, comfort. I think this is a key point for us, as we spend almost 10 hours on the PC. Well, they're very comfortable. At one point, after about 3 hours of use, they start to get heavy, but after so many hours, it's normal. However, with the appropriate rest periods, they don't feel like they're too heavy. The ear cushions are made of leatherette, and this will be a negative point if it's very hot, and over time, they'll start to peel, something that will be annoying when it starts to happen. However, I've used them a lot, and this is something that, depending on how you take care of them, will take a while to go away. In fact, it started happening in the last year of use. It's worth mentioning that I recently bought some new Logitech Brutes.
Returning to the Corsairs, well, the sound quality is BRTUAL, without a doubt, and completely immersive. They work excellent for any type of game. They have tremendous bass and aren't at all bright. That is, the sound doesn't have strident highs. It's very well balanced, so this will not disappoint us.
Built-in microphone? Yes! It's detachable, and this has its pros and cons. First, the detachable microphone is extremely convenient, especially when storing the headphones and not worrying about the vertical microphone in a fixed position getting damaged. So, detaching the microphone has its advantages; however, when you're in the process of removing and replacing the plug, it can end up getting damaged. Another aspect that I can say suffered some damage was the microphone mute button. There comes a point where constant pushing ends up damaging it. This always depends on how you use it, but if you use it a lot, it's something that might happen.
The quality and construction of the headphones in general is quite good and durable; they'll withstand a few drops and other damage. The sound is of tremendous quality, but it has those details, as I said, that I personally think can be a double-edged sword for a gamer! Well, gamers, I hope you like the article, and I'll see you in the next post!
