The Shepherd as well, of sheep
Yet this world hates sheep...
Everything that has a biblical root is somehow twisted in negative contexts. Of course there are people who are called sheeple, who just follow everything that is fed to them without conscious thought or self awareness and conform to popular cultures and beliefs and fall under mass brainwashing, but the fact that we even use sheep as a symbolic representation of them is ironic. People who have a "sheep" mentality are looked down upon. And I am sure someone would consider me sheep because I follow Christ. This is just more confusion instilled among us to keep us separate and distant from our Lord and Saviour and reject Him because of our own insecurities provoked and suggested by social engineering. Some sheep have a good shepherd, others have shepherds that lead them astray on purpose and some sheep who are without, wander and get lost all on their own. The only way to have true direction in this world is by having a relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Death will take away the flesh but God will preserve the soul.
