Hello, friends!
We're out of new year's vacation. I've drawn some watercolor drawings during this time. Today I'll show you one of them. This is a sunset on the sea. I want to learn how to draw sunlight, sky and water, so I chose this image for practice.
I didn't draw a sketch for this picture. Here I added paint to the wet paper.
I used watercolor paper with a torchon texture. This paper holds a long moisture. I painted clouds and the multicolored sky at sunset. It was very difficult. I wanted to cry in despair as the clouds merged into one spot.
I chose the colors for my painting.
I wet the paper well at the top of the sheet. There I began to paint the sky.
First light blue colors.
I left a white space for the sun, and from it drew a gradient of yellow, orange and red. I also used these colors to paint the clouds.
I added dark red and purple colors to the horizon line. And I also painted small clouds on the horizon near the sun.
The next step is to paint the sea. I wet some of the paper. I painted the yellow stripes-reflection from the sun. I also added red, brown and purple colors. This reflection of the sunset sky in the water.
At this stage I used the darkest blue colors. I added dark waves to the foreground. And the shadow of a sailboat.
Now I started drawing a sailboat. I used the darkest colors-a mixture of Indigo and purple. I painted the sailboat and the birds in the sky.
My painting's ready!
