Romans 2:11 teaches that God does not show favoritism; He treats everyone equally. When we speak about God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, it means there is no discrimination with them. Likewise, James 2:1 instructs believers not to show partiality in their faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.
We should not practice favoritism because every human being is created by God. In His eyes, everyone has value. This is why the Bible makes it clear that God desires all people to be saved. As stated in 1 Timothy 2:4, He wants everyone to come to the knowledge of the truth.
If God’s will is for all people to be saved, then it shows that His love extends to everyone. In 2 Peter 3:9, we see that God is patient and not willing for anyone to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
God does not want anyone to be lost—not even one person. His love is for all humanity. So, there should be no question about accepting someone based on their situation, such as being a single mother. There is no reason to reject anyone. Although some people may experience discrimination, this should not be found in the true church of God. In the body of Christ, everyone should be treated equally and cared for with love.
1 Corinthians 12:25 emphasizes that there should be no division among believers, but that all members should care for one another equally.
In the early church, Mary Magdalene is a good example. She once had a difficult past and was delivered from evil spirits, yet she was accepted and became a valued member of the church. She played a significant role in spreading the gospel and supported the ministry of Jesus Christ. According to Luke 8:2, she was among those who were healed and transformed.
This shows that no matter a person’s background or past, they can be accepted, valued, and used for God’s purpose
