As I mentioned in my first blog, I'm a self-experimenter. I always think of the others without listening to my own thoughts even lose weight......Last year, I received a message from my old university classmate that she is going to married. She invited me rather I would like to attend her wedding ceremony.
We haven't talk for years since she start dating. I said: "Ok, why not?" The wedding ceremony was in Nov, there was a plan poped up in my mind. "Victor, you look like a piece of shit. Why don't you start lose some weight so you will look nicer when taking picture on her wedding ceremony?"
I had 3 months left. Where should I start with? One day my toe was extremely painful and I found out I have high urinate acid which I never think of. Now I look back it is a wake up call for me to review my own life. I didn't drink enough water everyday, I drink a lot of beer, wine everyday. I eat I a lot of meat, oily food. So I give up alcohol, I drink plenty of water everyday. I give up going to Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳) for breakfast because it is very expensive (~ HK$ 35/meal), they cook badly and the main point is, unhealthy. So I start cook pasta with dumplings which cost me around HK$ 8/meal and I will drink a box of milk when I return to the office which cost me another HK$ 8.
For lunch, the first two months I used to go to the train station to get the same rice (steamed rice with minced pork & octopus) everyday. The third month, I quit that rice cause it is too salty and oily and I replace it with......pasta with dumplings which cost me around HK$ 15/meal (cause I will put more dumplings and I bought sauce and cheese).
This is my lunch and the rice I ate before:
At night, I eat normal, vegetable > meat > rice the ratio is 3 : 2 : 1. After meal I will go down to the park and start my workout, tabata exercise.

15 sec - Rest
35 sec - Side plank
35 sec - Side plank (switch side)
15 sec - Rest
35 sec - Plank
35 sec - Sit up
15 sec - Rest
35 sec - Foot to foot crunch
35 sec - Four time abs
So this is 1 set, I do 3 - 4 sets every training session. And I do exercise 4 - 5 times a week.

I lose 8kg in 3 months!
** But I haven't go to my friend's wedding ceremony cause 2 weeks before her wedding ceremony she told me should her whatsapp the invitation card to me which I feel this is a bit disrespect. She haven't try to mail or give it to me in person.
Anyway, our friendship is over. But the weight loss program is still going on. My target is to lose 8 more kg. Cause I'm still overweight (61 - 65kg is the ideal weight).

One more thing, bear in mind, lose weight is not just for beauty or looking good also healthy and more energy to tackle the problems. It's not just a period of time at you change your habit, it's a lifetime process. Exercise cannot contribute a lot on losing weight, you're what you eat. For me, if I went for a heavy meal on Friday night, I tend to eat less during weekend and workout more.
