On a hill above the park and playground is a historic house with a bit of a past...
At first, it looks warm and inviting, especially in the summer sun.

In the winter, it's a little more imposing while blending in with the dusting of a late snow as it watches over the playground in Parc Darran (or Darran Park.)

Upon closer look, it takes a more mysterious air.

But upon much, much closer inspection, it becomes clear that there is someone standing there - maybe still waiting for her mining husband to come home... in these mining villages, tragedy struck frequently and hard.
