My first jewellery piece

This was my first jewellery piece I ever made. I am a jewellery designer and I made this pendant in one of the assignments in my first year.

The pendant is inspired from the Art Deco art movement and the famous craft of India “Bamboo weaving”. I did a research on both the topics and then fused both topics to make this piece. The viewer can make out the inspiration by looking at the piece.

I took the bold geometrical forms of Art Deco style and the long structures of Bamboo weaving as my inspiration for the jewellery. I made this piece with my hand in my college jewellery lab and I remember I was very happy finishing it myself.
