Dearest favorite raptor/ raptile reptile of mine,
You might wonder why you haven't heard from me in such a long time. You might ask yourself whether I have forgotten you and what it is that you've done to deserve this? You are probably going through all kinds of emotions that are totally overwhelming you. And, if so, I totally understand you.
I am sorry. I apologize. I didn't mean to hurt you. I know how super sensitive you are.
I apologize for ignoring you for so long or for having given you that feeling, even though I didn't mean to do so.
Just know that it wasn't intentional at all and that not giving you much attention doesn't mean that I haven't been thinking about you on an almost daily basis.
You have always been there, in the back of my mind.
It just took me a while to find my way back to you...
Long story short, I am not writing this to make any excuses.
This letter comes straight from the heart ( and perhaps my guilty conscious ) and is meant to show you that I love you as much as I've ever have - which is loads - and that I'll always be there for you.
Much love,
Vincent
The above was a creative attempto to get back to working on my Hypersensitivosaurus book(s), after a break of over 3 weeks. I am aware of the fact that I could just open the file and start working on it but hey that isn't much fun. I like to do things differently ;<)
The picture above this post shows a close up of the following drawing I made a couple of weeks ago, while visiting The Netherlands:
It is based on a partial selfie ( just my feet ) of myself chilling on the Dutch beach of Scheveningen. It dawned on me that it might be fun and fitting to start making art including dinos, based on actual pictures that I've taken. In other words, to change all people and creatures in dinosaurs.
This was the very first quick attempt.
Hypersensitivosaurus even seems to be making a cameo, walking a blue dino dog
I plan to also make paintings in this style soonish.
Meanwhile, I shouldn't forget to focus on my writing too.
Then again, if you've known me for a while, my creativity has always been a mix of words and visuals. I just need to find a way to keep working on both at the same time ( or perhaps interchangably, day after day ), so I will be able to actually finish a book every now and then ;<)
TO BE CONVINUED...
