As you might have guessed from the title of my post, my name is Courtney and I'm new to steemit. I really like the platform and the basic premise of how the site works & I'm excited to learn some things, teach some things, and make new connections that will hopefully generate the extra income that it would be just super to have. So far I've come across some amazing articles from free thinking contributors here, and I like to think that I've got some pretty valuable thoughts and ideas y'all might appreciate. All in all it seems like joining this group of creative thinkers and creators is most definitely a win-win situation.
The last couple of years have been quite intense in my little world, with the last year having been the most chaotic. For 13 years I've worked as a ophthalmic surgeons assistant, although only part time for the past 10 months or so. I've also worked as a freelance writer and astrologer off and on over the last 5 years or so. I've written books, articles, entire blogs, I've created website copy content, managed kickstarter campaigns, I've even worked for one of those online psychic websites (However, I'm obligated to not spill the beans as to which one).
I've done a lot of things in a relatively short timespan, but I haven't yet found the thing I'm supposed to be doing. I have high hopes that I might figure out what that thing is while I'm here.
On the professional front, I have several books that I am currently working on, but have had to place on hold for the time being. On the personal front, things just keep on getting weirder. There's no denying that my life is experiencing a major period of transformation right now, so seeing how that all plays out thorough my writing will, no doubt, be interesting!
Having my Sun in Virgo and my Moon & Ascendant strongly placed in Capricorn, relaxing and taking a break is not exactly easy to do. The tendency is to just take on more & more, refusing to believe that you could ever possibly burn yourself out. There are always so many things to be done. The to-do list never ends.
I could go more into these things, but that would give away the plot to some future posts and articles. All in all, I intend to use the Steemit writing platform to explore topics that matter.
