Cedar Waxwings are traveling through my city located in North Texas.
I know they are here as soon as I step outside and hear their high-pitched bird calls.
If you want to listen to their bird call you can do so here.
They are such a pretty bird with very distinctive markings!
They love to perch way up high in the trees in groups of 30 or more.
They roost overnight in some trees over our back driveway.
They make quite the mess on our cars, nevertheless I still love seeing them and hearing them!
All of the above photos are of Cedar Waxwings perched in a tree in my next door neighbor's yard.
Cedar Waxwings don't stick around for our hot summers - they will continue to fly north!
Have a Blessed Day!
