Hoy les comparto mi recorrido por la Avenida Universidad, ubicada en el sector San Luis. Comienza en el paso elevado Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho y se destaca por su proximidad a las playas de la zona. Importantes complejos turísticos, residencias y hoteles también se ubican a lo largo de esta avenida.
Además, sirve como la principal vía que conecta Cumaná con el estado Anzoátegui y la hermosa localidad turística de Puerto la Cruz. Mi recorrido comenzó en la zona de los complejos turísticos y la cancha deportiva multiusos. Detrás de la cancha se encuentra la playa, y la fotografía muestra algunos de los edificios y complejos ubicados en esta avenida, así como complejos residenciales y el Gran Hotel Cumaná, un referente histórico de la ciudad.

Today I'm sharing my tour of Avenida Universidad, located in the San Luis sector. It begins at the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho overpass and is notable for its proximity to the beaches of that area. Important tourist complexes, residences, and hotels are also located along this avenue.
Furthermore, it serves as the main thoroughfare connecting Cumaná with Anzoátegui state and the beautiful tourist town of Puerto la Cruz. My tour began in the area of the tourist complexes and the multi-purpose sports court. Behind the court lies the beach, and the photograph shows some of the buildings and complexes located on this avenue, as well as residential complexes and the Gran Hotel Cumaná, a long-established landmark in the city.
Siguiendo la ruta, observamos el conocido Cangrejo Azul, que se distingue por sus quioscos de madera que aluden a la vida marina. Este complejo cuenta con un parque infantil, restaurante, acceso a la playa, cabañas y toldos, así como una cancha de tenis para el disfrute y la recreación familiar. Visitar Cangrejo Azul siempre es una gran experiencia, ya que, además de disfrutar de las cálidas aguas de la playa, los niños tienen opciones para jugar y divertirse. Continuing along the route, we observed the well-known Blue Crab, distinguished by its wooden kiosks alluding to marine life. This complex features a children's playground, restaurant service, beach access, cabanas and awnings, as well as a tennis court for family fun and recreation. Visiting Blue Crab is always a great experience because, in addition to enjoying the warm waters of the beaches, children have options to play and have fun. The view of this area is very beautiful; you can see the beach with its gorgeous blue color and various plants along the road. As I have mentioned in previous posts, the San Luis sector is a long coastal strip divided into sections, each giving the beach a name.
Very close to the Blue Crab resort is the Civil Protection office, which provides assistance to beachgoers and protects the aquatic areas. In fact, the most important landmark for San Luis Beach before the Blue Crab resort opened was the Civil Protection office. The beach located behind this office is ideal for children due to its gentle waves and shallow depth. Continuing along, we have another view of the Blue Crab resort complex, including the restrooms, showers, and its beautiful murals featuring crabs and ocean waves. We can also see the huts located near the beach, which offer a beautiful view of the landscape and a place to relax and observe the surroundings. Continuing along the avenue, we see several palm trees, hotel complexes, and a view of the military casino.
Siguiendo por esta importante avenida de la ciudad, podemos apreciar el antiguo aeropuerto y su decoración isleña, compuesta por plantas, jarrones y palmeras, todo ello mantenido constantemente por la Fundación Cumaná Te Quiero. También podemos ver el logo de la Universidad de Oriente, ubicada en la intersección con la Avenida Las Industrias. En la entrada del antiguo aeropuerto, hay una escultura con el logo de la universidad y una base cilíndrica azul.
Finalmente, podemos ver el paso elevado Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, donde comenzó este recorrido. Aunque suelo transitar por esta zona, esta vez me detuve a observar con detalle los edificios, paisajes y establecimientos ubicados en esta avenida. No me había fijado antes en el logo de la universidad ni en varias de las estructuras. Desde este punto, la vista de la playa es hermosa e invita a disfrutar de sus cálidas y refrescantes aguas. Continuing along this important thoroughfare of the city, we have a view of the old airport and its island decorations, which consist of grasses, vases, and palm trees, all of which receive constant maintenance from the Cumaná Te Quiero Foundation. We also have a view of the logo of the University of Oriente, located at the intersection with Avenida Las Industrias. At the entrance to the old airport, there is a sculpture with the university logo and a cylindrical blue base.
Finally, we have a view of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho overpass, where this tour began. Although I regularly pass through this area, this time I took the time to observe in detail the buildings, landscapes, and establishments located on this avenue. I hadn't noticed the university logo and several of the structures before. From this vantage point, the view of the beach is beautiful and invites you to enjoy its warm and refreshing waters.
