Morning hike with at his now-favourite hill in Tamparuli.
For the past few days, it's been raining in the afternoon and that make the trails are wet but still, it did not stop me and to have our morning hike there.
I'd probably overexert my calf muscles from yesterday's hike and forced myself to deal the pain the next day. Still, that did not stop me from doing a back-to-back hiking trip at Perahu Hill which I often described it as "the most difficult terrain of all hills" due to the technical challenging of loose rock and steep climb.
This picture was taken last week when the trail was still dry
Also known as Ruhiang Hill by the local people, Perahu is said to be the best hill to train before climbing Mount Kinabalu which I think it's true because I've seen a few tourists had come and did their training there (and of course some information I've got from my travel agent friends).
The view from the top is amazing. And today, I am lucky to see the mist passing by and although the sun is up, I don't feel the heat. It was cold and breezy, seems like I was there, at Mount Kinabalu itself.
I will be visiting this hill again next week (and probably every weekend until our expedition to conquer the majestic Mount Kinabalu this June is over), and I'm hoping I can bring to see the sun comes up over the horizon. I am sure he is going to be blown away, just like I did.
