It is the begining of jackfruit season here in our native place. We call it in malayalam as "chakka" and in tamil it is palapalam. Whatever name it may be, but I like the same very much.
We have three jackfruit trees and approxmitely, 50-100 fruits we are getting every year. We use the tender jackfruit to make poriyals, sambaars etc. In the new year we fry the jackfruit in coconut oil, it is so delicious.
Finally at the end of March the season starts for the ripen fruit. It is so tasty. People makes lot of items with ripen jackfruit.
