Hello my Steemian friends! Last weekend I was at the Millerntor Gallery #7, at the FC Sankt Pauli Stadium in Hamburg, with . It's an international art, music and culture festival which is initiated by Viva con Aqua de Sankt Pauli e.V. and FC Sankt Pauli. Viva con Aqua is an organisation which is campaigning for clean drinking water worldwide. All profits from the Millerntor Gallery going into the work and projects of Viva con Aqua. The theme this year was YOUTOPIC
The first artist I want to introduce is SUTOSUTO. Whether cliché, caricature or social criticism, the duo pack the chosen theme into a surreal Illustration. I like they work a lot, here are a few artworks from them.
DIE DIXONS one of the most influential graffiti crew from Berlin, who impress through their elaborate productions.
JOBRAY from Kampala is an artist and founding member of Viva con Aqua Uganda. To communicate the topics he uses his art as an additional toll.
A very unique artwork are from the duo BAHAR& RAZAN, colorful flowers giving us a happy mood when we looking at them. There are no differences in their utopia. All people are the same and in harmony with nature. Would we all act peacefully among us, it would be paradise.
JESS ATIENOis from Nairobi, Kenia. On her wall for Millerntor Gallery she presents water as the elixir for life and reflects how water was collected in earlier days. When a source of water was found, people went looking for life in it, e.g. fish. Since with life inside water is usually well drinkable.
BOBBIE SERRANO, the name of his artwork is H5N1 and is against intensive livestock farming.
Now a few more artworks.
Hope to see your tomorrow again for part 2 of my walk trough the Millerntor Gallery with .
Yours Vladi
