I've been on steemit from almost 4 months. This post is dedicated to all newbies who face trouble for making their presence in this community.
Unfortunately in the world today, there are many who strive so hard to succeed, yet they’d forget those who had helped them in the past. It’s a sad reality, because once they succeed, they’d often forget these people’s existence. Nobody is whale when they join this community they are on their spot because of the newbies who upvoted them from the beginning.
I feel like a lot of people nowadays think that if they become something, they did it all by themselves.
So far on steemit i found various types of people.
Whales
Quality content isn't (usually) upvoted, whales are upvoted.
Go look at the trending section, now go look at the hot section...almost all the posts are written by high rep/high steem accounts, yeah...whales! I realize this is sort of the point, and I don't begrudge whales all the glory and Steem they have, after all, we all aspire to be rich one day as well. Since they are whales they don't even bothered to look post who's reputation level is below 30. I mean why would they look ? They can simply judge that person by their reputation level.
People Who See Posts But Don't Upvote
I mean what is wrong with you guys? You're full flesh of human body not even a bot who instruct you to vote only people who has higher reputation. You guys having enough reputation to support new users on #steemit but yet you do somewhat partiality with whale side on to gain higher upvote. I'm just saying that if you guys out there with high rep could be the part of growth of new users and help them to prove themselves at this platform.
Even if some newbie try to write quality content it gets ignored due to low reputation.
Bots
Now days almost everyone is using bots on steemit to get higher upvotes and make their presence even better.
We puny humans can be depressingly fragile and flawed, a realization that's all the more discouraging when we consider the incredible potential for bots.
