We were discussing voiceshares on whaletank hangout and I happened to meet a good friend who told me Processed Foods causes depression. It was new to me and excitement grew. I questioned the logic behind this and he went ahead to post and entire article on the subject which made sense to me.
World is running towards modernization every single day and in this rush we tend to forget the basic necessities of life. We do not have time for anything at all, that includes food. We do not have time to follow traditional ways of cooking and we often end up having no time to cook our own food. Result of this is processed foods, which is the life saver of many across the world. Our forefather were not as advanced as we today but they were definitely more cultured and this is ruining us.
With this as the background coming to the topic at hand, how does processed food causes depression. Isn't depression and food totally unrelated?? How can you compare and relate two different topics??. Well to understand it all we need to know what actually is depression??
Depression is a state of mind caused due to chemical imbalances in the brain. It is a mental condition and something that is used and abused wrongly by many. Depression is related to lots of topics and food is also a very important topic in this regard. But again the topic is inter related to changing life styles of human beings which is a common factor affecting both depression and food habits.
