The Manggahan Festival is already in full swing, but my camera roll is still packed with pre-festival snaps 😁. I captured so many photos, but I got so busy, and I am only just getting around to sharing them here on Hive.
A few days ago, my husband and I decided to watch a local volleyball match. The game started around 5:30 in the evening just as the sun was beginning to go down. It was a special match between two nearby municipalities, Jordan and Sibunag. Since I live in Jordan and I even have a close friend on the team, you can guess exactly who I was cheering for. 😜
This particular tournament is for the women's over-30 category. It was so inspiring to watch because most of these players are busy moms. They left everything and showed everyone that passion for sports does not fade with age.
The players wearing the white and grey jerseys are from Jordan, while the team in bright yellow represents Sibunag.
Both sides brought their best players, and the energy on the court was amazing. These moms aren't kidding around. They were smashing the ball hard as if their careers and lives depended on it 😂.
Even though I was rooting for Jordan, I have to give credit to Sibunag's number 03 player. She was my favorite player from their team because she was playing hard while also acting as their coach on the court.
It was a fantastic evening filled with great volleys and local pride.
We didn't finish the game because it's getting late already, and I have work in the evening. But I learned from my friend that the Jordan team won the match. 🤩
