For the past few days, we have made it a habit to visit the Capitol grounds just before the sun goes down. The air feels a little cooler at this time, and the sky starts to turn a soft orange. There is a lot of excitement in the air because the Manggahan Festival is coming soon.
Walking is much nicer now because of the new brick path. It feels smooth under our shoes as we stroll along. High above our heads, hundreds of colorful banderitas are hanging. They are bright pink, yellow, blue, and green. When the wind blows, they flutter and make a happy sound. It feels like the whole place is getting ready for a big party.

As we walked further, we saw many people enjoying the afternoon. A boy rode his bicycle across the grass, and a black dog with a wagging tail wandered around near the field. Near the parking area, there are many food stalls. We can smell the snacks cooking, and it makes the walk even more fun.

One of the best things to see was the big bunch of balloons. A seller was holding a huge cluster of them. There were balloons shaped like pink bunnies, brave puppies from Paw Patrol, and even a white airplane. They looked so bright against the evening light. These are the kids' favorites.

Nearby, some kids were running and playing. Two little girls were chasing each other on the grass. They were laughing loudly that even other people giggled with them.

In the middle of the grounds, some boys were playing basketball. You could hear the steady thump of the ball on the ground. Workers were also busy building a big stage with tall metal frames and lights. It looks like there will be music and dancing very soon.

Everything was so colorful, busy, and full of life. It is the perfect way to end our day. ☀️
