I'm back with updates on my dear cat Bartolo and his new antics.
Cuando vuelvo del trabajo, Bartolo no deja de vigilarme. En todo momento tiene la mirada sobre mà y se acuesta arriba mÃo, para evitar que me vaya nuevamente.
Asà está un par de horas hasta que se da cuenta de que ya no voy a irme.
When I come home from work, Bartolo never stops watching me. He keeps his eyes on me at all times and lies on top of me to prevent me from leaving again.
He stays like this for a couple of hours until he realizes that I'm not going to leave.
En cuanto se percata de que me acosté para mirar una pelÃcula o internet, él comienza con su ronda de juegos. Entre ellas está la de correr por todo el departamento para tomar velocidad y envión, y lanzarse contra la cortina hasta llegar a lo más alto y tirarse de ahà sobre la cama.
Como pueden darse cuenta, disfrutar de una pelÃcula en silencio se vuelve un acto imposible con este gatito.
As soon as he notices that I've laid down to watch a movie or go online, he starts his round of games. Among them is running around the apartment to gain speed and momentum, and throwing himself against the curtain until he reaches the top and then throwing himself onto the bed.
As you can see, enjoying a movie in silence becomes an impossible task with this kitten.
Por si eso no fuera poco, si le apago la luz para que se tranquilice, esto no surte efecto en él y se sube a la mesa del televisor para luchar contra los personajes de la pelÃcula. Aunque le diga "Bartolo, bájate de ahÃ", no me hace caso y sigue con su juego.
¡Tranquilidad es una palabra que Bartolo no conoce ni conocerá jamás! 😩
As if that weren't enough, if I turn off the light to calm him down, this has no effect on him and he climbs up on the TV table to fight the characters in the film. Even if I say "Bartolo, get down from there", he doesn't listen to me and continues with his game.
Calm is a word that Bartolo doesn't know and will never know! 😩
Cuando se encuentra tranquilo, tengo que mirar qué hace porque se lleva todo a la boca. Por eso, cada cierto tiempo tengo que revisar si no está masticando cables o algo por el estilo.
Por suerte, al otro dÃa era sábado y como todos los fines de semana voy a visitar a mis padres. Y sÃ, obviamente, me llevo a Bartolo conmigo, que le encanta mirar el tráfico desde mi hombro. Allà se queda durante la hora de viaje que hay desde mi departamento hasta la casa de mis padres. 😸
When he's calm, I have to watch what he's doing because he puts everything in his mouth. So, every so often I have to check if he's not chewing on cables or something like that.
Luckily, the next day was Saturday and like every weekend I'm going to visit my parents. And yes, obviously, I take Bartolo with me, who loves watching the traffic from my shoulder. He stays there for the hour-long trip from my apartment to my parents' house. 😸
