It doesn't matter if you are an active Steemonian or not, your Steem Power could be the greatest asset you have. There is more to Steem and Steemit. The technology behind the Steem blockchain is incredible. It currently runes more transactions daily than any other crypto. Also, free transactions.

Here's the thing. There are other cryptos being built on the Steem blockchain. One project, Hive account@appics is very interesting. It is more of a Steem version of Instagram.  

To my understanding, the holders of Steem will get airdops of the new tokens when they launch. Hive account@appics isn't the only one out there. I found info on a couple of different projects that plan to launch soon.

What does this mean?

If you hold Steem in your Steem Power you will get whatever tokens are launched on the back of the Steem blockchain. As more projects build on the platform and need SBD and Steem to launch it, then the demand and value of Steem will go up. That will be great for us.

Not only that, but if any of the coins we get for free go up in value considerably, then that could only mean more profits... actually 100% because you got your coins for free.

Powering up your Steemit account isn't just about having better voting power, it is planning for the future. Even if Steemit never gains mass acceptance, your Steem holdings could make you rich.

Right now you are reading this on a platform in an industry that is in its infancy.  There is so much room to grow and as the Steem blockchain forks and grows and forks and grows, our efforts now on Steemit could really pave the way to financial freedom one day.
