A Remembrance
You became a love to remember
Easy kisses, languishing on hot coals of desire
Your eyes burned
tales of mystery
Arms enclose caverns of my dreams
I fell, spinning in your well, precipice
of fire
I did not burn
Yet candles wax my skin with rivers every turn.

This poem is inspired by an old friend who took an extended haitus from Twitter. He goes by the handle @AshBaghet and once shared daily prompts with poets worldwide. He recently returned and I attribute much of my growth through poetry from writing for his Twitter prompts several years ago when I found him. I hope that you enjoy the poetry!
