The lily breathes the sun
Her face turned up in love;
Surprise,
Knowing winds may
Sprinkle rain
She lives for
Just today.
Tranquil prayers stay
Her lips
Once kissed with dew
Shadows cross them, too.
Yet, never frets or cares
Her beloved's voice calling
Makes each morning new.
No stranger to the night,
Tucking petals
Close and tight
Holding as a dreamer
A beaconing days fresh light.
No jealousy,
No pretention.
The world may hold it's pain
But she a random wayfarer
Will give her life again
Just a fragile bloom...
Seen by one or two
All she has
She shares
Once glimpsed
She'll bewitch even you.
