It's almost smack dab the middle of May and Pennsylvania has seen maybe two days of temperatures over 60 degrees. Last week we had snow three days in a row. My humidifier keeps chugging along to offset the dry air here. It is on its last leg.
My hands are as dry as the local businesses threatened by Governor Wolf to lose their licenses if they open before his color coded pandora's box....but the Governor isn't responding to calls or emails from the same people who were promised stimulus or small business unemployment checks yet they still have not seen any money. The desperation is palpable on Reopen Erie group Facebook page. You can feel the rumble. Something is going to happen.
I reach for the hand cream for healing of my skin and the TV remote for healing of the mind.
My, how the ship has tipped this year. Who knew their'd be a hole and water would start flooding in? At least Noah sealed his arc up well and God closed the door. Forty days and forty nights is a long time. Corona has exceeded it's welcome.
I'm home, safe and not hungry. I am one of the lucky ones.
Things are so out of kilter now. I just hope the sun starts shining more and chases alway all the little virus particles and people who are hungry and broke get their needs met really soon.
