Good afternoon! Its been such a busy weekend with Chinese New Year celebrations and even our little Northbridge was transformed into a melting pot of festivities.
This above picture was sent to me by my friend who decided to enter into this cauldron of people, party, noise, street food and fire crackers!
For me, I decided to go away from the crowd and have some Fried Spicy Chilli Squids.
If you have gone for dimsum before, you'll know that this is a common appetizer that usually graces the trays of the servers haha..
A very popular dish amongst some of my friends and we usually get them a little tough and soggy as the restaurant tends to pre-fry these in bulk early on and they are not as fresh..
But this particular dish was very fresh; crispy and crunchy; & it was cooked fresh and not in bulk. For that, it became a dish that I wanted to submit for my daily food photography.
