As per my right as a #steemsilvergold community member, I'd like to bring somethings to your attention and then ask that you "VOTE" on an outcome.
We all know that #steemsilvergold is a community of like minded stackers that want to help spread knowledge and experiences around collecting precious metals.
What I have been noticing as of late is that some members of #steemsilvergold are NEVER posting about precious metals. I totally get that no one can post about PMs on a daily basis, everyday of the week, and that other interests are also covered, but I would expect to see a few precious metal posts in the last month.
Which brings me on to the first vote -
DO WE NEED TO REMOVE SOME ACCOUNTS AND CULL THE CURRENT MEMBER LIST?
Which then leads me on to a particular hate of mine......
Accounts only wanting to join #steemsilvergold to gain access to and the incredible ROI it offers.
You may think I'm being a little crazy, but the amount of messages I receive on a daily basis from accounts wanting to know how to join, shows me that #steemsilvergold is known through out steemit as a community that rewards its members highly.
So when I see accounts pressing all the right buttons and saying all the right things to get access to #steemsilvergold and then the moment they delegate to and start getting daily upvotes to never be heard from again, it really grinds my gears.
If we are meant to be a community, shouldn't these accounts atleast interact with other #steemsilvergold members??
So my second vote is to ask -
SHOULD THERE BE A COOLING OFF PERIOD TO START GETTING A VOTE FROM @SSG-COMMUNITY AFTER JOINING #STEEMSILVERGOLD?
What I mean is, should you have to wait a month after joining ssg to start getting a daily upvote from ssg-community? As it stands, you can write a blog today, be nominated tomorrow and start getting an upvote the day after..... Should this be changed? This way, during the "cooling off period", group moderators can make sure accounts are compatible with remaining in #steemsilvergold and then receiving the benefits that come with it.
Which now leads me on to my 3rd and final vote -
SHOULD WE RE-INTRODUCE THE 1% VOTE FOR ALL MEMBERS FROM @SSG-COMMUNITY?
At the moment, my current answer to that is A BIG FAT NO!! There are just too many members that as far as I can see never contribute to the community to warrent a free upvote.
If members list is culled and a cooling off period is introduced, I would gladly change that to a resounding YES!!
We all need a little helping hand when we are first starting off. The 1% upvote was introduced to help newbies gain enough steempower to move up to basic member and delegate 10sp to Precious.
That being said, if members are sitting on steempower of say 500+ and don't delegate the 10sp min, should they really get a free 1% when they have the opportunity and the means to get a better upvote? Maybe the 1% upvote could be a short term introductory offer for new members to make sure they get enough sp to "pay their own way"......
OK, I've kept you all long enough. Please leave your comments below.
I hope the group mods will take a read through and get back to me.
