This answer is easy and not subjective.
No, Steem the blockchain is not broken, it keeps moving forward every 3 seconds, it is allocating new Steem exactly the way it is programmed, based on the reward pool calculations and our votes.
It is actually functioning beautifully and we still have plenty of witnesses willing to run it.
Steem is fine.
What we tell ourselves and others about Steem might be broken.
Revitalize Steem
It's been a rough bear market and although we have made it through it is time to focus on understanding what Steem is and where we are going.
is currently asking people to consider their vision regarding Steem, this week we will be going through the answers and working on some clear communication of the vision. This is the last call to add your view to the vision. https://steemit.com/dtube/@justineh/u6qoydvy, watch the video and add your vision! We will be going through them this week.
The Vision gives us the ability to focus our efforts and resources on the things that support the vision and becomes the starting place for Marketing and Promotion, Development and More
Why Worry About a Vision?
All Activities Should Support the Vision.
Marketing:
It helps to define: Who is our target market, where are they, how do we reach them, what will we say to them...?
Development
It also acts as a filter for development projects: Does this move us towards our Vision? This is is a great filter to determine what to work on.
Community Focus:
It keeps both the community and the stakeholders focused on what we are doing and why.
Let's not confuse decentralization with disorganization. People with similar goals are free to work together and cooperate to achieve a goal!
