The internet is full of get rich quick schemes and people wanting to teach you how to make money.
It's very easy to write it all off as a scam and as the saying goes "if it's too good to be true it probably is".
If you have never made money online I can tell you it is a very real thing that can provide additional spending money or completely change your life.
I've made money online several different ways (not yet with steemit). Sometimes a little money and other times a lot, hopefully one day life changing. Each time it seemed like a scam that was too good to be true. Eventually you learn to trust the platforms and realize you are getting real money in your bank account.
I've only been on th Steemit platform for a few weeks now and I still don't know if I'll make money here or not. It looks like others are doing well, however until I see real money myself of course I'll be skeptical.
One thing I know from other endeavors is that there is no such thing as quick money. Everything takes time and a lot of effort along the way. Provide value to others first and you will be rewarded in the long run.
I'll be using the platform to better understand how steemit works and to contribute to the community. Once some real money shows up, I'll consider it a bonus.
