Running Update
For the next big thing, scroll down, I am starting with an update on my latest runs.
A different angle from a new running place, in the distance you can see the course we usually run during our lunchbreak
Now that my runs for the #fiftyrunstillmay challenge are completed, I don't want to waste too much time reporting on my runs, but obviously I haven't stopped.
Last Sunday I was feeling awful, but despite how I felt, I still went out for a run with my neighboor. It was a poor time as we set the pace with me coughing a lot in the beginning. However we still did close to 12 kilometers and that without taking a break or a moment to catch my breath.
Sundays run, just to tell you how pawly I was, 12 did the 12 kilometers in 1 hour and 13 minutes, which is slow for us, but my Training Effect was 4,7 = Overreaching, which is one of the highest scores I've had so far
As I had to babysit my kids yesterday, I didn't have an opportunity to go for a run, like I'd do normally on Tuesdays, so I went today. To my luck it was a good decision as the weather was fantastic. It was the warmest I've had during a run since October or November, I guess. Below you can see the stats from my Garmin Fenix 3 and the pictures are also taken during todays run.
What an improvement from Sunday. I felt good and the weather was in my favour.
A familiar castle from a different angle, I am trying to change my route bit by bit to keep it interesting and to stop routine from setting in
As I'm increasing my distances slowly, I am also looking for new additions to my existing route

My next big thing!
Now for my next project. I have been considering my options to figure what to do next. It has always been a "dream", if I'd ever get fit enough to do a Marathon and preferably before I'm 40. Well, I'm going to be 40 next year in October, so I figured it's now or never ...
I'm going to run a Marathon
At least I'm going to try it. My goal is to participate and finish it. I would like to hear from you, which Marathon you think I should participate in. The options are:
- Berlin 2019
- Rotterdam 2019
- Tel-Aviv 2019
- Lisbon 2019
- London 2019
I respect the opinions of my fellow runners even more, so if you have experience with running a marathon or specifically any of the above, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
Another think I'd like to know is how did you prepare, do you have a training schedule I can learn from, do you have any advice? Anything you think that could help me would be appreciated. I want to start my training in May, to give myself plenty of time and I will also submit myself to some tests by my GP, to see if I'm bodily fit to do such a thing.
I'll need your support now, more than ever, so I look forward to your comments and feedback ... or maybe you want to talk me out of this 'stupid idea' 😉
Let me hear from you, I'm going to need it all now and I appreciate the truth over some false encouraging words.
Thanks,
Doron
