Good day everyone.😊
This is my first ever post after my introduction here in steemit community so, in this post, I would like to share to you one of my hobbies and one of my sideline business as a full-time mom, making a homemade ice cream.
Discover how easy it is to make delicious homemade ice cream that rivals what you'd stand in line for at the best ice cream shops. And of course, you can also save money instead of buying. Once you learn the basics, you can make it as your business and for sure you will earn more profit on it.
Get ready, here's how to make ice cream at home!
Ingredients needed
♦ 2pcs. of Nestle All purpose Cream (250mL each)
♦ 1pc. of Evaporated Creamer (370mL) - Any brand will do but in this tutorial, I used Alaska Evaporada.
♦ 1pc. of Condensed Creamer (390g or around 380mL)
♦ 4packs of Cookies (It depends on what flavor do you prefer)
Materials or Equipments Used
♦ Spoon (for primary mixing of the ingredients)
♦ Tupperware ( approximately 1 gallon)
♦ Electric Hand Mixer (for the final mixing)
Steps and Procedures
❶ First step is the primary mixing. Mix the ingredients using spoon in the Tupperware. You can stop mixing as long as the ingredients are mixed enough.
❷ Next, chill it in the freezer for around 1 to 2 hours.
❸ After chilling for about 1 to 2 hours, when it seems got sticky, you can get it out in the freezer for the final mixing and flavoring.
❹ Mix it using electric mixer until it grows enough for 1 gallon. Then, add the desired flavor which is cookies.
Here is the actual video for the final mixing as well as the flavoring.
And here is the output for that :
❺ After the final mixing and flavoring, you can now put it back in the freezer and wait until it froze or ready to eat.
➏ And finally, after the long wait, the final output is ready. The homemade ice cream is now ready to serve and eat
Total Expenses
For sure, you can save money if you make a homemade ice cream instead of buying.
Here is the pricing for the ingredients :
| Ingredients | Number of pcs. | Price (PHP) |
|---|---|---|
| Nestle All purpose Cream (250mL) | 2pcs. | ₱100 |
| Evaporated Creamer (370mL) | 1pc. | ₱28 |
| Condensed Creamer (390g or around 380mL) | 1pc. | ₱25 |
| Cookies (pack) | 4pcs | ₱28 |
Total = ₱181
The total expenses would cost ₱181 for 1 Gallon. When you buy it in some stores or supermarkets, it would cost around ₱300 plus. So clearly, you can save money if you make a homemade ice cream. Not to mention, the quality or taste are almost the same. 👍
Purpose of this tutorial
